Are you a pediatric nurse and want to share your expertise? Here is your chance to teach and take on the role of a teacher for a school year, either full-time or part-time – come and be a part of our team!

Driving and developing programs that provide students at Yrgo with sought-after skills makes a difference. In the field of health and care and the current education, we collaborate with hospitals in the Västra Götaland region, among others. Together, we ensure that the programs are relevant and spot-on, so that students can develop their role as nursing assistants after completing their studies.

We are now looking for teachers for the YH program Specialist Nursing Assistant in pediatric and adolescent care.

We need a 100% position, which can be divided between one person full-time or two people at 50% each.

In the role of a teacher, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and conducting teaching with a focus on preparing our students for the role of specialist nursing assistant. Central course areas include:

• Development of children and youth
• Pediatric care and diseases
• Disabilities
• Person-centered and health-promoting care
• Laws, organization, quality
• Pedagogy and approach

Your tasks include designing courses and educational content, teaching, examining, and supervising thesis work. You will also be responsible for recruiting and coordinating guest lecturers as well as conducting LIA visits and supporting students during their internships. Additionally, you will work closely with colleagues in the health and care education programs at Yrgo in a collegial collaboration and leverage your own as well as the program's established network. Great emphasis is placed on pedagogical development and close cooperation with the labor market to ensure that the education is current, of high quality, and leads to employment.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with a relevant higher education and current work experience in pediatric and adolescent care. You have the ability to teach at the post-secondary level and possess good digital skills, both in pedagogical and administrative contexts as the education is conducted remotely and is based on our digital platform. It is also important that you can express yourself well in both speech and writing.

It is an advantage if you have experience in teaching, pedagogical training, and additional expertise in areas such as psychiatry, disabilities, or others.
